IT'S BETTER ON BAHAMANET

Bahamanet has one concern and one concern only: The Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

We have hundreds and hundreds of links, growing everyday, and all of them are related to The Bahamas. No one has more links than us. No one has a more accurate organization of links so you can find what you want quickly.

If you have a Bahamas-related site and it's not listed with Bahamanet, you are missing the best chance for exposure and visits!

BAHAMAS NABS 3 AT PAM AM!

The women of the track-and-field team show and prove in Winnipeg.

The Bahamian team reaped the rewards of hard work and training during the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, Canada, bringing home three medals. All three medals were won by women on the Bahamian track-and-field team, with two coming in track events and one in the javelin.

Chandra Sturrup garnered a gold in the women's 100m on Day 3 of the events by running a blistering 11.10. On the same day, Lauern Eve picked up a bronze for a javelin score of 61.24m. Three days later, the renowned Debbie Ferguson proved why she is a world-respected presence on any track, taking the gold in the women's 200m with a time of 22.83.

Bahamanet would like to congratulate these women on their outstanding acheivements, and we'd like to commend the entire Bahamian team for representing the nation well in these games!
